Vastu Tips For A Successful Career

January 14, 2015 by Vastu Shastra Guru 2 Comments

Career is arguably one of the most important things in anybody’s life.

Career is what all of us – eventually – try to build all the years while attending school, college and enrolling for higher studies.

There are numerous cases – and I am sure that you may have observed some of them yourself – in which a colleague or an acquaintance – who wasn’t academically as awesome as his fellows – leads a richer, more successful, happier and abundant life.

Also, on the other hand you’ll probably – and with a very good chance – find people whom you thought will lead a very good, rich and happy life, but you were shocked to hear from a “trusted source” of yours that it’s actually not the case.

In fact he/she is in misery, debt, problems and is leading a very unhappy and depressed life.

In other words he/she now sounds like “the biggest loser” you’ve ever known.

Vastu Tips For Successful Career

Now, sit back, relax and think for a moment about the reason(s) that may have changed the life of both types of people that I’ve mentioned above.

Try to understand the reason due to which “a 100% bound to be loser” became a successful person and “the one who was born to be a winner” ends up being a complete failure.

Luck! Is that what you’re thinking?

Yes, you’re somewhat correct; luck is one of the factors, but, luck – all by itself – isn’t enough, there’s got to be something more than just luck; and that “something more” is the support and help which the “now winner” gets from energies that surrounds him.

Yes; now we’re talking!

So, the next BIG question is, why and how the energies are helping one guy and not supporting (in fact, may be degrading) the other?

The answer to that is “Vastu Shastra”.

The one who’s getting the support is living and working in a vastu compliant home and office, whereas, the other one dwells in vastu non-compliant home and/or office.

At this point, I assume, you know that vastu shastra is the science of balancing energies, hence, in other words, if you’re living in a vastu compliant home, then it’s for sure that energies will extend their help and push you towards your betterment (however, it’s all up to you what you actually want to do with that “divine help”– after all, you can lead a horse to water, but can’t make it drink).

Hence, you must – and MUST I mean – live at places that are as per rules and regulations of vastu shastra, be it home or office.

Ok, I know, you have lesser choices when it comes to office, but at least manage your workplace to make it as much vastu compliant as possible.

Similarly, for students, the study room must be in such a way that they get the best support of energies and that’s possible only when their study room is as per rules and regulations of vastu shastra.

So, if you’re a student or parent (who wants to learn about study room vastu shastra for their kid) then read our article @ A Vastu Compliant Study Room – A Room for Concentration

Coming back to office folks (employees and employers both), there are certain vastu shastra tips (that I am going to tell you now) which – if applied correctly – may skyrocket your career or business like you’ve never thought before.

So without any delay, let’s dive right in and learn all the vastu tips for career.

Vastu Shastra and Directions

January 1, 2015 by Vastu Shastra Guru 33 Comments

Many people are often confused when it comes to finding the direction to which their house is facing.

In fact there are many who believe that finding the right facing of their home is actually tough, but let me tell you something; finding the correct facing or direction of a house is very – in fact extremely – easy and in no way a “rocket science”.

What YOU Are Going To Learn Further:

  • 1 Vastu and Directions – How to correctly identify the facing of your home:
  • 2 Sub-directions in Vastu – How to Identify Them
  • 3 North-East corner – Its importance in vastu shastra
  • 4 South-East Corner – What’s important about it?
  • 5 South-West Corner – Why it’s important in Vastu Shastra
  • 6 North-West Corner – What Vastu Says About It

Vastu and Directions – How to correctly identify the facing of your home:

Step 1: Stand at the entrance door of your home facing outside (as if you’re going out of your home).
Step 2: Record the direction you are facing, using a compass, while you are in the position mentioned in step 1.
and there you are, the direction that you have just noted in step 2 is the direction your house faces.

Hence, if while coming out of your home, you face North – then you have a North facing house; similarly if you face South while coming out of your home, then you have a South facing house.

And that’s pretty much to it when it comes to finding the facing of your home.

Here, I must make it clear to you that there are many instances when people think – or are made to trust – that the direction in which you face while entering your home is the facing of your house and that’s completely wrong.

Now, it doesn’t takes to be a genius to determine that a house can face in any of 8 directions. Out of these eight directions 4 are main and remaining 4 are sub-directions.

Here are the four main directions: We all learn this in our childhood. 🙂

  1. North
  2. South
  3. East
  4. West

And these are 4 sub-directions

  1. North-East
  2. North-West
  3. South-East
  4. South-West

The 4 sub-directions have a lot of priority and importance in vastu shastra as they are the ones where the bedroom, kitchen, living room, guest room etc. must be placed in your home.

The point is that you need to not only identify the direction that your house faces but also all the 4 sub-directions to make your home a vastu compliant one.

So without any delay, let’s see how you can easily identify all the 4 sub-directions.

Sub-directions in Vastu – How to Identify Them

In order to identify all the sub-directions, the first thing that you need to know is the main directions and that you can do as I’ve mentioned above in the previous section of this very same article.

Having marked the main directions i.e. North, South, East and West here’s the simplest way to mark the 4 sub-directions

  1. The place where the North and East sides meet is the North-East corner.
  2. The point at which the South and East sides meet is the South-East corner.
  3. The corner where South and West meet is the South-West corner and
  4. North-West corner is the one where West meets North.

Here’s a graphical representation that’ll – I believe – help you big time.

Main and Sub-Directions Vastu Shastra

It’s that simple, isn’t it?

As I’ve said earlier that sub-directions are of paramount importance in vastu shastra, I now want you to completely understand why I’ve said so. Let’s understand this one by one.

North-East corner – Its importance in vastu shastra

The North-East (NE) corner is the one where the North and East sides meet; NE corner is ruled by planet Jupiter and water element.

Here I must also tell you that Jupiter is also known as “Guru” and as per vastu shastra a Guru is like God.

That’s why NE is also known as “Eshan” or “God’s” corner.

The NE corner is best suited for a Pooja/prayer room in a home.

However, you can also have a living room in this place.

Now, having anything else such as bedroom, kitchen or toilet etc. in the NE corner is a vastu defect (dosha) and that – must be – corrected. You can read about NE vastu defects @ North-East vastu defects and their remedies.

South-East Corner – What’s important about it?

The Sout-East (SE) corner is the one where the South and East sides meet; this corner is ruled by “Venus” and “Fire” element and is known as the “Fire” or “Agni” corner.

The SE is best suited for a kitchen in a home and having anything else such as bedroom, toilet or living room is a huge vastu defect.

To know more on vastu defects that a SE corner can have read our article @ South-East Corner – The defects and remedies.

South-West Corner – Why it’s important in Vastu Shastra

The South-West (SW) corner is where the South and West sides meet; it’s ruled by “Earth” element and “Rahu” planet.

It’s also known as the “Nairutya” corner.

SW is best suited for a master bedroom in a home; again, having anything else in SW is vastu defect and needs – immediate – correction.

To know more in SW vastu defects and related remedies head right to South-West corner – The Defects It May Have and Related Remedies.

North-West Corner – What Vastu Says About It

The North-West (NW) corner is where the North and West sides meet; it’s ruled by “Air” element and “Moon”; it’s called as “Vayu” or “Air” corner.

NW is best suited for a kitchen, a bedroom or even a living room.

Having said that, there are vastu defects that can occur in NW of a home; read more about them @ North-West vastu doshas and corrective measures you must take.

Having understood the directions and sub-directions that your house has, I believe that you’re now ready to make your home a vastu compliant one.

To start the ball rolling, head right to our article that’ll guide you in making your home vastu compliant @ Vastu For Home – How You Can Do It Right Now!

South Facing House Vastu

December 26, 2014 by Vastu Shastra Guru 90 Comments

Over a period of time, South facing houses have earned a very bad reputation and many people believe that – each and every – South facing house is bad; however, I must tell you that it’s a huge “misconception”.

In fact as per vastu shastra, a South facing house can be the very auspicious house – if an only if – it follows certain – and very specific – vastu principles.

Hence, if you get a chance to stay in or buy a South facing house (that’s exactly as per vastu shastra) then there’s nothing superior to it.

Here, I assume that you’re well versed with vastu shastra.

If you aren’t then you must read our article that gives you a clear – in fact crystal clear – understanding of vastu shastra.

South-facing-house-vastu

What YOU Are Going To Learn Further:

  • 1 South Facing House – What Vastu Says About It
  • 2 South Facing House Vastu – The Tips, Rules and Guidelines
    • 2.1 South Facing House Vastu – What to Avoid [7 Tips]
    • 2.2 South Facing House Vastu – What to Do [10 Tips]

South Facing House – What Vastu Says About It

You must know – and understand – that vastu shastra has always claimed that all the directions are equally good, be it, North, East, West or South.

However, as per the same – yes very same – vastu shastra, one thing that can make a house inauspicious is the entrance/main door of the house (even if all other vastu rules are followed).

Hence, with South facing houses, one thing that can make it auspicious is the entrance or main door of the home (considering that all other vastu principles are followed).

In other words, I can say that if a house (be it South facing) is as per rules and guidelines of vastu shastra, then it’s bound to be auspicious – in fact amazingly auspicious.

This is a reason why you might – and will, if you observe carefully – see a lot of very powerful, influential, rich, successful and happy people living in south facing houses.

So, without any delay, let’s take a look at rules and guidelines of vastu for south facing house.

South Facing House Vastu – The Tips, Rules and Guidelines

As mentioned earlier, the entrance of a south facing house is of prime importance in vastu shastra.

Vastu says that, if a house is South facing, then the entrance or main door of the house must be located on the 4th pada (step or part) of the south side.

Now, in order to understand the concept of “pada” or step, all you need to do is to have a look at the image below.

Vastu-For-South-Facing-House-Pada

In the image above you can see that the South part (the length from South-East to South-West) is divided in 9 equal parts.

Each part is called as “pada” or step in vastu shastra.

Also, you – must have – noticed that only the “pada” numbered 4 is in green color and the pada’s to the right i.e. pada number 1, 2 and 3 are in orange color where the remaining pada’s, from 5 to 9 are in red color.

Here’s what this entire thing means:

  1. The 4th pada (green one) is the best and the most auspicious for entrance or main door of a south facing home.
  2. The pada’s 1, 2 and 3 are the ones that you can use (for entrance/main door) if pada 4 alone is small. But make sure to include pada 4 along with padas 3, 2 or 1. If you’re using space up to pada 1, then make sure that the entrance/main door doesn’t touch the SE corner. Leave at least 6 inches from SE wall.
  3. The pada’s 5 to 9 are the ones that are prohibited, as per vastu shastra, for having an entrance. Hence, a main door at padas 5 to 9 is inauspicious.

Having understood – I believe – the rules and guidelines of vastu for south facing home entrance, I must also tell you that all the other principles of vastu shastra remain same for south facing homes.

Below I’ve consolidated the dos and don’ts of vastu shastra when it comes to south facing house.

South Facing House Vastu – What to Avoid [7 Tips]

  1. Avoid main entrance in any pada from 5th to 9th.
  2. Avoid having anything related to water like sump, bore-well etc. in South-West corner.
  3. Avoid a plot that slopes from North to South.
  4. Avoid a cut or extension in South.
  5. Avoid car parking in South.
  6. Avoid keeping more open space in South than North side.
  7. Avoid kitchen in South-West.

South Facing House Vastu – What to Do [10 Tips]

  1. Make sure to have the entrance or main door on 4th pada or step.
  2. If the space, after utilizing 4th step, seems less then you can use 3rd, 2nd and 1st
  3. Make the walls in South and West thicker and higher than North and East.
  4. Choose a plot that slopes from South to North.
  5. Make sure that the kitchen is in South-East or North-West corner.
  6. While cooking face towards East (for South-East kitchen) or West (for North-West kitchen).
  7. Make the master bedroom in the South-West corner.
  8. You can have staircase in South.
  9. Make a living and/or Pooja room in North-East.
  10. You can make a guest bedroom in North-West.

Having said all this, I believe and trust that you – now – understand what a vastu compliant south facing house means and aren’t afraid – anymore – to dwell in one.

Also, since you’ve understood south facing house vastu, I suggest you to read what vastu shastra say about kitchen, bedroom, living room, Pooja room, toilet etc.

Vastu Tips for Marriage & Happy Married Life

December 20, 2014 by Vastu Shastra Guru Leave a Comment

“Marriages are made in heaven” and it can’t be truer than this.

A marriage, undoubtedly, is a very special bond – that not only the bride and groom but even their families – share for a lifetime.

For parents, marrying their son or daughter – at the right age – is one of the biggest responsibilities in their life.

As soon as kids start to grow and reach at marriageable age, parents – tirelessly – start to search “the best suitable” match.

Now, there are two cases that – usually – happen:

Case 1: A suitable match – for a boy or girl – is straightaway found without much effort; marriage is fixed and done and everybody is extremely happy.

Case 2: Parents shake heaven and earth, but that “suitable match” never came and all efforts go in vain and the marriage of their son/daughter gets delayed.

If it’s “Case 1” with the family, then there’s nothing to worry about, but “Case 2” is definitely a huge – or shall we say, the biggest – concern for parents and also for the “future” bride or groom.

As time passes by and marriage gets more and more delayed, social pressure, depression, tension, clashes among family members and other immeasurable negative – in fact, very negative – traits start to creep in the family.

Often such families and/or individuals consult astrologers, sages, kundali matching services etc. but – in many cases – even after everybody’s assurance that everything seems great and marriage is on the cards, nothing ever happens.

At such point, one must think about vastu shastra.

Can a vastu defect – in a home – be the cause of delay in marriage?

The answer is a big and bold “YES”.

Let’s know how.

How Vastu Shastra Affects Marriage

As per vastu shastra, certain defects in a home, leads to delay in marriage, clashes among husband and wife after marriage, separation and even divorce.

Note that “separation” and “divorce” are two different things.

Separation: A couple isn’t living together but they are still married.

Divorce: A couple is legally not a husband and wife anymore and is “legally” separated.

Whatever it be either, “separation” or “divorce” the root cause of both – in 99% of the cases – is dispute between husband and wife.

Overall, there are 2 things that vastu defects can lead to when it comes to marriage:

  1. Delay in marriage
  2. Clashes among husband and wife (finally, separation and divorce)

Let’s take the 1st point first and understand the things you must avoid, as per vastu shastra, to evade delay in marriage.

Vastu Shastra & Delay In Marriage

A delay in marriage is, as we’ve said, earlier is the biggest concern that parents – may have – once their son/daughter have reached a marriageable age.

Let’s have a look at such vastu defects.

Vastu Tips For Pregnancy/Conceiving

December 16, 2014 by Vastu Shastra Guru 25 Comments

Motherhood marks a new beginning in the life of a couple and is, without doubt, the best gift that God has given to women.

The pregnancy of a married woman is celebrated by each and every family member, friend, and colleague and also by distant relatives.

What YOU Are Going To Learn Further:

  • 1 Repercussions of Vastu Defects on Pregnancy/Conceiving a Baby
  • 2 Vastu for Pregnancy & 5 Basic Elements
  • 3 Vastu for Pregnancy – What to Avoid
  • 4 Vastu for Pregnancy – What to Follow

Repercussions of Vastu Defects on Pregnancy/Conceiving a Baby

There have been many instances when “pregnancy” spells trouble for the woman and family; some of the examples are

  1. Premature birth or delivery of child
  2. The woman is unable to conceive
  3. Miscarriage, one after another

and many more.

Often such families – unsurprisingly – approach various hospitals, doctors and religious places, praying to doctors, God and everyone else for a child, but nothing ever happens.

All the medical reports come normal and doctors say that there’s no complication, the baby must be around the corner.

But time flies and finally nothing happens; the baby that the family wanted so badly never came.

What’s the cause of such misery? Why is a family deprived of the happiness that a child can bring in their life?

Can it be a vastu dosh that’s being a spoil sport?

The answer is “Yes”; if there are certain vastu doshas (that we’ve described below) in a home, then those vastu doshas (defects) will never allow the lady of the family to get pregnant or conceive a child.

But before we begin understanding the vastu defects that prevent birth of a child in the family, we must understand the logic of elements (remember the five element – earth, water, fire, air and space) behind conceiving a child, maturing of the child in mother’s womb and finally the delivery of a “healthy” child.

Vastu-Tips-For-Pregnancy-ConceivingVastu for Pregnancy & 5 Basic Elements

I bet you know that the first step to getting pregnant is to have intercourse (sex) with your life partner.

Now, for a moment, think about the element that’s responsible to excite a couple so much that they have an intercourse.

Did you say “Fire element”?

Yes, that’s correct. It’s the fire element that heats up the body and desires so much that a couple indulges in an intercourse.

But wait, the work of the fire element doesn’t ends here; creating enough desire for sex is just the first step; the same fire element is also responsible for conceiving and maturing the baby in a woman’s womb.

That’s the reason why a hen sit’s on its eggs, providing the much needed warmth and heat.

But definitely the intensity of the heat and warmth, while maturing a baby, is way different and less than the heat needed for mating.

Here, we must also tell you that as per vastu shastra, each and every corner of a home, is dominated or ruled by one of the elements; here’s how;

  1. North-East or “Eshan” corner is ruled by “Water” element.
  2. South-East or “Agni” corner is ruled by “Fire” element.
  3. South-West or “Nairitya” corner is ruled by “Earth” element.
  4. North-West or “Vayu” corner is ruled by “Air” element.
  5. and “Space” element rules the center of a home.

Based on above 5 facts, we’ve created lists of do’s and don’ts of vastu shastra when it comes to conceiving a child. Let’s have a look at don’ts first:

Vastu for Pregnancy – What to Avoid

  1. If a couple sleeps in NE bedroom, then the lady won’t be able to conceive a child; even if she conceives, the “water” element of NE won’t allow adequate heat to reach the fetus, resulting in miscarriage or abortion.
  2. Once a lady conceives a child, she must not stay in SE bedroom as too much amount of heat of SE corner either leads to miscarriage or premature birth.
  3. Make sure that there’s no staircase or anything heavy at the center of home as it leads to various complications in pregnancy.
  4. Never allow a pregnant woman to stay in dark, always make sure that there’s light around her.
  5. Don’t allow a pregnant lady to see anything depressing such as a gloomy or miserable movie, TV show etc.
  6. A pregnant lady must avoid wearing dark and drab colored clothes such as black, dark red etc.
  7. Never ever hurt feelings of a pregnant woman.
  8. Avoid paintings that depict negative feelings and moods such as war, violence, cruelty, grief etc.
