    Hi Ram,

A garage in NE is ok as the vehicles will be moving in and out; hence there won’t be a constant heavy weight in NE.

    Thanks,

    Hi Meena,

For basements, at least try to keep the South and West part heavier and higher than the North and East part.

Yes, a toilet in SW corner is very bad and usually leads to huge financial troubles. The bathroom is more on West than on SW.

    Hi Tarun,

The master bedroom in NW is ok. Living room in NE is ok. But the main entrance in South of SE (brings major illness to family member) and there’s a toilet in SW (that’ll blow away all the finances); that’s the problem.

I’ll suggest you to read all the articles on my website. This will help you to understand vastu shastra and you’ll be able to assess houses yourself.

    Hi AD,

Try to convince her not to use the NE bedroom. As per vastu shastra, if a girl uses NE bedroom then her married life will be very difficult. In most of the cases the NE bedroom leads to divorce.

Leaving the NE bedroom may be very difficult for her, but that’s the only way out.

    Thanks,

    Hi Meena,

As per vastu shastra, basements aren’t considered good. But if nothing can be done then here are vastu rules for basements:

    Basements can be in:

NE; NE to SE axis ; NE to NW axis; North and East.

If the basement is in NE then it can be used only for meditation and nothing else.

Apart from this a basement cannot be located in:

    SE corner; SW Corner, in South; in West; SE to SW;
SW to NW; at the center of the house (Brahmasthan)

    Hi Manasvini,

You can use the NE bedroom for kids (in case of girl, make sure her menstruation cycle has not yet started). You can use the NW bedroom, try to sleep in SW corner of NW bedroom. Also, pay attention as sleeping in NW bedroom may keep you out of your home for most of the time.

    Hi Sravan,

You can keep Lord Shiva’s photo there, but then you must worship it daily and never keep it in dark. Also, you can keep an artificial water fountain there.

    Thanks,
    Admin

  • VastuShastraAdmin

    Hi Sravan,

Overall vastu of the house is good except for the utilities portion. NE is the corner of water element hence there must be nothing that generates heat.

As a remedy read the article @ http://www.vastushastraguru.com/vastu-remedies-north-east-kitchen/ (it’s about NE kitchen) and apply the inverted bowl remedy.

Feel free to ask further questions.

    Hi Karttik,

Sorry, I wanted to say East. You can use that East bedroom. If you can sleep in SW (the hall) then it’s the best. I know it sound awkward, but that’s the way it is. It’ll give you stability in all the fronts of life.

    Thanks,
    Admin

  • VastuShastraAdmin

    Hi Sravan,

There’s something wrong with the directions. Either East and West are swapped or North and South are swapped.

    Thanks,

  • VastuShastraAdmin

    Hi Karttik Kapur,

Yes, your friend is correct and you must never use the NE bedroom. Also, I can see that there are toilets in the exact NE corner of the flat and that’s again a huge vastu defect.

I can see that there’s a kid’s bedroom in West, you can use that bedroom (keep your head in South or West) and place the bed towards the SW corner of that room.

If you have kids (under teen for girl), they can use the NE bedroom. Make sure they keep their heads in South or West.

Feel free to ask further questions.

    Thanks,

    Hi Karthick,

It’s always better to find a property with least (ideally 0) vastu defects. However, in these days, a 0 defect property is difficult to find. If you can get a better property than go for it, else this is also ok.

Remember that any remedy may reduce the ill-effect but can’t eliminate the defect.

    Thanks,
    Admin

  • VastuShastraAdmin

    Hi Karthick,

Sorry, I missed that ENT FOYER.

Yes, the NE is a bit cut and as a remedy you can place 4 vastu pyramids, once each in North, East, West and South of your home.

    Hi Manasvini Aravind,

As per vastu shastra, the basements must never be in the South of a home, they can be only in the North, East or NE part of the house. Basements in South may lead to lots of troubles in the life of inmates.

    Helo Sir,

I am considering a flat for buying, attached floor plan of same. Please share your inputs on vastu complications. At glance i observe North-East corner cut. Your inputs are highly appreciated

    Thanks in Advance

    • VastuShastraAdmin

      Hi Karthick,

Assuming that this is a North facing house (as I can’t see the entrance) there’s a bedroom in NE, don’t use that bedroom, instead, you can make that bedroom as pooja room/living room or your kids (under teens) can use it. Also, there’s a bedroom in SE, if you have a daughter then she can use that bedroom but make sure that she sleeps with her head in South or West and the bed must be away from SE corner.

The master bedroom look good. There’s a kitchen towards the NW part and that is also ok. However, you must face West, while cooking, in that kitchen and not North (as shown in the diagram).

      Thanks,
      Admin

Now, a garage in NE is ok, but a basement in South is a huge vastu defect. Especially in SW of the house. It may lead to all sorts of problems in your life.

    Hi PJ,

In that case we can term it as a vastu defect, as a remedy you can place a fish aquarium in the NE corner of your home. Fish aquarium must be kept in living room.

  • VastuShastraAdmin

    Hi PJ,

Is the water passing exactly through NE corner?

    Thanks,
    Admin

  • VastuShastraAdmin

    Hi Rucha Patel,

If garage is more on the East side, then it should not be a major issue.

Regarding NE bedroom, there’s no remedy for that. What you can do is to sleep in the SW part of the NE bedroom with your head towards South or West. This may reduce the ill effect of NE bedroom.

By the way, as per vastu shastra, sleeping in a NE bedroom is prone to lead divorces, deteriorate financial condition, depression, seclusion and much more worse things.

Hence the best remedy will be to sleep in another room towards the SW side with head in South or West.

    Thanks,
    Admin

  • PJ

    Hello
I have East facing house which has basement, ground floor and first floor. All toilet and bathrooms are on first floor attached to bedrooms. Toilet/ bathrooms are located in North West, East and North. Main toilet is in North West.
All pipes from toilets / bathrooms runs into basement underground and joins into one pipe in the north east side of the house and gets out of the hose from this area and meets the main drainage which is also on the north east side of the plot. No sanitary water gets accumulated here but it passes through from here.
Do you think this is a vastu dosha? If drainage pipes are taken out of house in North West side of the house and then meets into the north east of the plot will it avoid vastu dosha?
    Please advice
Many thanks and appreciate your help

    • VastuShastraAdmin

      Hi PJ,

I couldn’t get your questions completely. Send me a sketch of your home for better understanding.

Also, a toilet in exact North is considered inauspicious in vastu shastra and may lead to financial troubles.

      Thanks,

    Hello
I have hose which has basement. House is east facing house. In the basement we have underground pipeline that comes from all toilet and bathroom and joins into one pipeline that passes through north east side of the house as well as polt and meets the main drainage in East side. No toilet or bathroom are located in the north east. It is only drainage / sanitary pipeline that passes through north east of hose and the plot. Is this a vastu dosha? If drainage passes through north east of the plot and not the house still it will be a vastu dosha?

    Thanks and appreciate your help

    Hi Shreya,
As far as this house is concerned, this house has a lot of vastu defects. Coming to the North and East sides, yes there are cuts and extensions both.

I’ll suggest you not to stay in this home.

    Thanks,
    Admin

  • VastuShastraAdmin

    Hi Shreya,

The directions marked are incorrect. Seems that East and West are interchanged (if North is marked correctly).

    Please confirm.

    Thanks,
    Admin

    • Shreya

Thank you for your prompt reply. The actual floorplan is a mirror image of the one I had attached and so the directions (east-west) are interchanged. I am attaching a new image of the floorplan. Please let me know if you have any questions or need more info. Thank you once again.

      Shreya.

      • VastuShastraAdmin

        Hi Shreya,

To your question on which part is cut or extended, I want you to focus on the South side of your house i.e. from the SE to SW corner; most of the portion towards that side is built up and only a small portion (in SE corner) is missing, hence we’ll have to consider that the SE corner is cut; you can apply the same logic for other places of your home.

Now, apart from cuts, I can see that there’s a kitchen in North (a vastu defect), there’s a toilet in SW (that’s again a vastu defect). Both these defects lead to financial troubles.

Hence, I need to ask you a few questions here:

Since how long have you been staying in this home?
Is this your own house or rented one?

How is your financial situation (if you are living in this house)?

        Thanks,
        Admin
